The Contact Association and Its Activities

It is the nonprofit cultural association of the Evangelical Protestant Church of Champagnole.

It enables the church to carry out its activities and events.

It was founded in the early 2000s, and Laurent Barbier currently serves as its president.

One of its main activities is selling spices on Saturday mornings at the Champagnole market. Beyond raising the church’s profile at the market, this activity helps build connections and relationships with the local community in the Jura.

The Candle Workshop

Every year in December, the organization holds a candle-making workshop that is open to everyone and helps raise funds for Christian organizations such as Open Doors, which supports persecuted Christians around the world.

Some of these candles and Christmas decorations are sold at the Saturday morning market in December.

Open Church Creations

Part of the market's sales also consists of various items and decorations (paintings, knitted goods, etc.) created by church members, particularly on Saturday afternoons during "Open Church."

These creations include Christmas and Easter decorations, among others.
